The Village of Elmwood Place contracts with Rumpke for trash collection in the Village. Rumpke collects on Friday mornings. No garbage shall be set out to the curb earlier than 4:00 p.m. the evening before pickup, and all trash receptacles shall be removed from the curb no later than 8:00 p.m. the day of pickup.

Village residents are required to obtain a Rumpke vendor approved trash cart. A vendor approved cart must be mounted on wheels, have an attached lid, and a lift-bar. Residents may purchase a trash cart or have the option to rent a Rumpke trash cart through the Village. Residents can rent a trash cart for $1.50 per month per cart.

Rumpke is not responsible for damaged carts or missing carts. If your trash cart is lost/stolen and you rent it through the Village, please click here to download a “Stolen Cart Form”. Once you have completed the form, please fax it back to (513) 242-4578.

Rumpke provides large item collection as part of their service to the Village. Please contact Rumpke 24 hours before your regular scheduled collection to request a bulk pick-up for acceptable large items. Upholstered items such as mattresses and furniture must be wrapped in plastic in order to ensure collection.
